Elegant Yarns, two balls of Kaleidoscope 100% wool 100g/174 yds

Knitting needles size 8 (5.00mm).

Mitered Ripple Scarf_1

Cast on 36 sts. Complete 1 row of purl sts.

Row1: sl1, yarn back, inc-k1, k14, k2tog twice, k14, inc-k1, k1. = 36 sts.

Row2: sl1, purl to last stitch, yarn back, k1.

Row3: sl1, yarn back, inc-k1, k14, k2tog twice, k14, inc-k1, k1. = 36 sts.

Row4: sl1, purl to last stitch, yarn back, k1.

Row5: sl1, inc-p1, p14, p2tog twice, p14, inc-p1, yarn back, k1. = 36 sts.

Row6: sl1, yarn back, knit to end.

Row7: sl1, inc-p1, p14, p2tog twice, p14, inc-p1, yarn back, k1. = 36 sts.

Row8: sl1, yarn back, knit to end.

Repeat rows 1-8 to desired length. Bind off.

Special instructions:

inc-k1, insert the right needle knitwise (from left to right) into the right side of the loop in the stitch below the next stitch to be worked and knit that loop, then knit the stitch above that stitch just worked.

Inc-p1, insert the right needle purlwise (from right to left) into the right side of the loop in the stitch below the next stitch to be worked and purl that loop, then purl the stitch above that stitch just worked.

All sl1 stitches are slipped purl wise.
